Storm Damage Trail Clean Up Day – Saturday, July 11, 2015
The Catonsville Short Line Trail has been hit hard this spring and summer. At least nine trees have fallen on the east side of the Beltway and one tree fell near Spring Grove. The trees have been moved off the trail but large piles of limbs and debris remain. Additionally, heavy rains have washed out small portions of the trail and the drainage ditches need to be cleaned to allow water to flow freely.
Catonsville Rails To Trails has announced a clean up day on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Volunteers should meet at the corner of Prospect and Paradise Avenues ( for GPS purposes – near 133 S. Prospect Ave, 21228). We will be cleaning the drainage ditches, raking the trails, planting flowers and more.
Wear clothing that covers your arms and legs. CRTT will provide gloves and tools. CRTT will provide pizza at noon and all the water you can drink. We need chainsaws and trucks, so if you have them, bring them! For more information, contact email@example.com.
