New Year’s Day Mural Hike
Did you know there is a Beach Blanket Bingo mural in Catonsville?
Many people refer to Catonsville as “Music City” but we think it should be called “Mural City”. Start off the New Year with a healthy 4 mile hike from the Catonsville Junction to DelRay Ave and back and visit 8 murals/works of art. The tour will be led by local mural artist, Edward Williams who will provide fun facts about each piece of public art.
Here is what you get! A narrated hike through Catonsville of all outdoor murals, free coffee & refreshments from 7-Eleven at beginning of hike (9:30), and light refreshments from Umami at the end of the hike. Come at 9:30 for the Rotary’s dedication of the #8 Junction mural with Squire Fred, Catonsville’s Town Crier. Please note that the hike will end at Umami Bistro and walkers will need to walk back to their cars if parked at starting point.
$5 suggested donation will benefit Catonsville Rails To Trails. For more information, visit www.catonsvillerailstotrails.org or contact firstname.lastname@example.org .
Inclement weather information will be available on CRTT website.
