Ribbon Cutting
Catonsville Rails To Trails held a ribbon cutting for the Catonsville Short Line (East side) on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 9 a.m. behind the Western School of Technology and Environmental Sciences located at 100 Kenwood Ave.
A 8 a.m., approximately 35 cyclists gathered for a tour of the new trail led by Jack MacConnell, an avid Catonsville cyclist.
At 9 a.m. the ceremony began with County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and Councilman Tom Quirk cutting the ribbon.  During the presentation, CRTT received donation checks from Mt. Ridge Apartments and the Catonsville Women’s Giving Circle.
Special thanks to Joe and Pam Chilcoat of 7-Eleven for providing refreshments. C’ville Bikes and The Hub provided bikes on site for attendees to use.  Thanks to Buddy Palmer and Pat Perkins of Western School of Technology for assisting with facilities.  Special thanks to Catonsville’s Town Crier, Squire Frederick, for assisting us with the program.
