Welcome to Catonsville Rails to Trails

Giving Tuesday – December 3 – Make a Donation to CRTT

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a day of giving following the high energy of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.  On Tuesday, December 3, people around the world will come together for the common purpose of celebrating  hard working nonprofits and charitable organizations and encouraging everyone to make a donation.

Catonsville Rails To Trails  (CRTT) knows that you make your charitable contributions carefully and we hope you will  consider a donation to Catonsville Rails To Trails.    CRTT is an all volunteer organization so you know every dollar is being spent on our mission of promoting healthy living through hiking/biking trail enhancements in the greater Catonsville area.  Click here to make a donation to CRTT.

Here are TEN great reasons to give to CRTT:

1. CRTT is an all volunteer organization so every penny goes to our mission of building and maintaining trails.

2. CRTT is a reliable charitable partner and an IRS approved 501 (c) 3 nonprofit.  CRTT celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2019.

3. CRTT maintains 3 miles of trails with 20 clean up days annually and it is expensive!  We could use your financial and volunteer help!

4. CRTT is always developing new trails/trail connections and advocating for pedestrian friendly initiatives in Catonsville.

5. CRTT host the Annual Trolley Festivus at the Catonsville Junction bringing 2500 residents together to celebrate trails and community.

6. CRTT hosts bikes rides and hikes including a ride to Fort McHenry on July 4th, the annual Bike To Work Day and the New Year’s Day Hike.

7. CRTT sponsors creative murals and art projects along our trails.  We also preserve the history of transportation in Catonsville

8. CRTT maintains the Cemetery Overlook site on the Short Line Trail and created the star remembrance program.

9. CRTT is currently working on “The Connection” which will bring the Short Line Trail to Frederick Rd. near Bill’s Music House.

10. CRTT has raised over $2 million dollars to build trails in the past 20 years.  Help support CRTT by making a donation.
